Young People
Being a young person is not always what it is cracked up to be. Life can become very stressful and tough, you may experience difficulties that you feel unable to solve and find yourself feeling and thinking in a way that is very concerning and distressing.
I offer a safe and confidential environment for young people who are ready to take the opportunity to look at their difficulties and life experiences. I do not give advice or offer sympathy but I aim to help you discover your own solutions and ways of coping so you
gain the confidence in your own ability and develop the skills that will aid and support you through this difficult period and throughout your life. Within counselling there is an opportunity to talk with me where I will not judge you, will be respectful of your views and will value what you say.
I do not judge or measure the difficulties you may present. Many aspects in life can affect a you and your development processes. Significant life events like losing a parent, going through a divorce / breaking up with a partner, experiencing trauma, coping with exams or some form of significant change, including changing schools or moving area can have a significant impact on your emotional well-being. Working through difficulties during the earlier phases in your life prevents problems becoming deep routed as you grow older.
